ABILITY CHALLENGE

DAWN’S LEGENDARY SUPPORT FOR ABILITY CHALLENGE

In the 1950’s Dawn burst onto the scene as a gutsy and talented swimmer and has held our attention and the headlines ever since.

You know you’re doing something special when ‘Australia’s most recognised and best loved sportswoman’, Dawn Fraser says she’s right behind you.

The greatest female swimmer of the 20th century has offered her support with the up coming Ability Challenge Golf Day at Oatlands on Tuesday 28 August. The Ability Challenge Lunch and fundraising auction supports the Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney.

Dawn Fraser has offered two pieces of her personal sporting memorabilia to auction at the Ability Challenge Lunch to be held at Oatlands, following the morning’s golf event.

The pieces are both limited editions with autographs, photos, gold medallions, pins and more. The winning bidders for these limited editions will also receive a personal letter from Dawn thanking them for their support of the Ability Challenge.

After hearing of the Ability Challenge Golf Day, Dawn Fraser contacted ROYAL REHAB.

“For the past 40 years I have been asked to host or attend fund-raising events all over the country,” she said.

“I do my best to help, but it is impossible to get to everyone”.

“It was only last year that my partner, Tim Konz and I decided to offer my personal memorabilia to these fund-raising events purely because the memorabilia has proven to produce more significant funds for these charities.”

“These two collages are very special to me, being the 1st and 2nd I have personally produced. They represent a time in my life that was full of hardship, perseverance, hard work and good fun. This combination ironically led me to achieving my ultimate goal…GOLD!”

Dawn Fraser is Australian History… Dawn Fraser is a National Living Treasure… two lucky people will have the opportunity of taking a part of the Dawn Fraser History home at the up coming Ability Challenge Golf Day for the Royal Rehabilitation Centre.
