ABILITY CHALLENGE
Channel TEN’s, Tim Webster launched the Ability Challenge Golf Day at a function at Oatlands Golf Club, last week. The Ability Challenge will be held on Tuesday 28th August at the prestigious Oatlands Golf Club. Following the launch, Tim Webster a regular player at Oatlands gave David Hall a few golfing tips on mastering the fairways and greens.
“Do you have the Ability to Make a Difference?” David Hall asked this question of Corporate sponsors at the launch of the Ability Challenge. “You have the ability through your sponsorship to – grant a wish, fulfil a dream, fund valuable research or supply much needed equipment”, said David.
David Hall, a six-time World Wheelchair Tennis Champion is now able to play golf and compete in corporate golf events with the use of the specially designed golf cart. The Ability Challenge is an opportunity for Corporate Teams and individual players to support an event that will provide valuable funding for research and rehabilitation equipment.
The golf cart is now part of the Recreational Therapists program at ROYAL REHAB, enabling clients to be active and develop new skills. Stroke, amputees, and spinal cord injury clients will be able to incorporate golfing into their rehabilitation program with the use of the golf buggy.
