A brief rundown on the services provided by Business Support.

 

Business Support Services forms part of the Business Services Directorate and includes a well skilled network of departments supporting the provision of best care for clients and residents. Together and individually, the departments provide integral support to both clinical and non-clinical services and are committed to achieving a high level of service. Particular emphasis is placed on the following:

Business Support Services comprise:

 

Human Resources

Provides industrial advice, injury management and rehabilitation claims management, a payroll service and co-ordination of training activities to staff employed by Royal Rehab and some associated organisations on site.

Financial Services

Provides financial and administrative services for the Centre and its core business units/services and accounting services for separate operating entities.

Information Technology

Manages Royal Rehab LAN and associated software and its links with the Northern Sydney Health WAN.

Corporate Services

Corporate Support Services is a well skilled network of departments supporting the provision of best care for clients and residents. Together and individually, the departments provide integral support to both clinical and non-clinical services and are committed to achieving a high level of service. Building, Centre, Employee, Finance, IT, Food Services, Purchasing and Stores, Waste Management.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Professional Development arm of HR at Royal Rehab supports the professional career as well as the clinical development of our staff. Every staff member attends Orientation day at the onset of their Royal Rehab relationship, annual Mandatory Training and Positive Culture workshops as well as management and leadership development training along their career path.

Client-facing staff also attend Non Violent Crisis Intervention and Manual Handling training so encouraging a culture of safety and support of the OH&S function across the Centre.

CORPORATE SERVICES - HOTEL

At Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney the enabling services under the Corporate Services Directorate are extensive, pursuing excellence in customer and client service at every level. The strategic intent is to ensure that the staff may be supported in doing their work to the best possible level and the clients’ rehabilitation is enriched by a healthy, beautiful and positive environment.

The Directorate manages Food Services, Building Services, Human Resources and Centre Services within an internal framework and Security and Cleaning Services under contractual arrangements.

Included in the service is an onsite ‘Village” which comprises 8 units with accessible, affordable accommodation for family and visitors of clients as well as visiting researchers, clinical staff and other onsite users.
