Collection of Information to support client transition to the NDIS in NSW

To ensure there is a streamlined process for your family member to enter into the NDIS, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) requires basic information on FACS-funded clients with a disability in NSW. FACS sought Public Interest Directions from the NSW Privacy Commissioner to allow this information to be collected.

You may be contacted by the NDIA to validate information about your family member. The purpose of their call will be to ensure that the contact information provided to the NDIA is correct. The NDIA’s National Access Team need to test that the data is correct to ensure they are able to contact people regarding the NDIS. The NDIA has randomly selected people to contact to confirm their details are correct and current.

This is not a call to obtain consent to enter the scheme or to determine eligibility for the Scheme. Clients and carers will be informed that their current supports will continue with no change and that they will receive a letter providing more information about the NDIS in the near future.
