Brain Injury Community Rehabilitation Team
The Brain Injury Community Rehabilitation Team provides rehabilitation to people with a traumatic brain injury, living in the community. It services a third of metropolitan Sydney and therapy is delivered in ‘blocks’, targeting client-specific rehabilitation goals.
The Brain Injury Community Rehabilitation Team accepts medical referrals from Royal Rehabs Brain Injury Unit, acute hospitals, GPs and other community organisations. A medical referral is required for a client to be considered for BICRT.
The referral criteria is:
- Has sustained a traumatic brain injury
- Is 16–65 years or working full time
- Lives within the catchment area
- Has active rehabilitation goals
Once a referral has been received, reviewed and accepted by the clinical operations manager and the Rehabilitation Specialists, contact will be made.
